The Mersey Partnership

The Mersey Partnership is at the heart of the regeneration of Merseyside.

Since 1993 it provides the city-region with a body to speak up on its behalf, acting increasingly as the catalyst for change and pressing home the Merseyside advantage. It is working hard to ensure Merseyside is one of the prime places in Europe in which to do business and also seeks to attract investors to the city-region, notching up some considerable successes in recent years. Since 1998, TMP has also been responsible for marketing Merseyside as a tourist and conference destination through the incorporation of Mersey Tourism and the Mersey Conference Bureau.

The Mersey Partnership’s mission is to champion the Merseyside advantage, campaigning for our City Region as a great place to invest, live, work and visit, generating greater returns for all.

A body with over 400 members, The Mersey Partnership is committed to:

• Producing stronger economic development on Merseyside through co-ordinating partners’ activity in the Action Plan for the City Region, and publishing the annual benchmarking report the Merseyside Economic Review. The Mersey Partnership manages the Sector Development Programme for Merseyside, driving forward key priority industries in our City Region.

• Raising awareness and improving perceptions in the minds of key decision-makers and potential investors to bring new business in to Merseyside and encourage growth in existing businesses. This has notched up some considerable successes in recent years.

• Promoting Merseyside’s tourism assets to increase visitor numbers and grow the economic benefit to the area. Since 1998, TMP has been responsible for marketing Merseyside as a tourist and conference destination through the incorporation of Mersey Tourism and the Mersey Conference Bureau.
