POLICY MANAGER (ACTING)
(the environment, transport, community safety/JHA, culture and tourism)

James Sharples has been in post since March 2002.

James works on transport, the environment, justice and home affairs and community safety. He is also responsible for information management in the office. James works closely with colleagues from the UK Brussels offices’ environment, transport and asylum networks as well as the ERLAI network on asylum and immigration.

He is also the North West policy champion for transport and culture and tourism as part of the Regional European Framework.

James has a BA in English literature from Oxford University and is a fluent French speaker.
